About

For over 20 years interested astronomers from beginners to seasoned veterans have gathered to talk about the wonderful world of stars, planets, and space.  Founded by Larry Pratt in 1998, the club now has nearly 90 members from New Braunfels, Comal County, and the surrounding area. The club is informal with no dues, no officers, and no formal membership applications, just a group of friends with a shared interest in astronomy.  The club meets monthly and also hosts monthly star parties at the Tye Preston Memorial Library near the Canyon Lake Dam.  Meeting topics run the gamut from what telescope to purchase to astrophotography.

Due to the Covid-19 Pandemic, meetings are now held using Zoom on the third Thursday of each month (except December) from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM.  Please contact the administrator at admin@astronomyNBTX.org for an invitation to the Zoom meeting.
